My well known retail client on the South Coast is looking for a Category Manager to work within their fast growing category team. You will either already be a category manager within FMCG or Retail and will be able to travel to the South Coast at least once or twice a week.
The role is very varied and includes the following responsibilities:
- Set the strategic direction of the Category, leading the creation and delivery of the Category Plan
- Evaluates and lead decisions on range, price and promotions, based on consumer understanding and financial viability
- Lead the integration of financial activities, including planning, forecasting and business analysis
- Manage the 12 month Trading plan
- Using data and insight to highlight and act upon emerging themes to accelerate performance
You will have:
- Commercial experience either as a Buyer, Category Manager or similar
- Experience of market trend and customer insight interpretation and analysis to deliver a market leading strategy
- Proven experience as a senior commercial operator or other relevant role
