My client are a rapidly growing business looking for an experienced mid level backend JavaScript (Node) engineer to join their small but fast growing tech team. They work in one of the most stunning environments in Greater Manchester with onsite gyms, their own large bar / entertainment areas plus regular socials for all staff.
They are looking for someone who has around 18 months + experience and wants to take their next step in their career.
This could be a great opportunity for someone who may have the desire longer term to step into a Data Engineer role, or just someone who wants to get more exposure to backend systems engineering/ data warehousing.
Role/ responsibilities
- Taking ownership of new system integrations - planning, development & maintenance
- Developing & improving existing integrations
- Backend Systems Engineering, data warehousing etc.
- Working with the frontend team to build out bespoke company systems
- Working with various teams in the business to refine & automate their activities
- Having autonomy and contributing to any future tech decisions
Skills/ requirements
- 18+ months years of commercial Node experience
- Experience with version control (Git or similar)
- API experience - integrating into GraphQL, REST & SOAP
- Experience deploying serverless functions (AWS or similar)
- React experience (desirable)
