Very pleased to be leading the search for this exciting Head of Marketing opportunity for a leading consumer brand. As Head of Marketing you will create and deliver engaging and effective multi-channel marketing activities that inspire customers, build brand awareness and consideration and deliver on our clients growth targets. Through high quality integrated marketing campaigns you will win, keep and our grow customers. You will lead your team to deliver insight and data driven marketing plans, proactively managing the sales funnel and maximising customer engagement and revenue opportunities across the end-to-end customer journey. You will be accountable for our paid and earned media spend and all related integrated marketing activities - customer database management, on and offline advertising, social media, email marketing, partnership marketing and PR. We are looking for a strong marketer capable of raising the bar, creating a team of happy and proud marketing experts, who are inquisitive, look for opportunities, are agile and customer-centric - a team of people who 'own it' and 'bring it' every day.

The role

  • Develop, execute and optimise multi-channel marketing strategies and sales funnel management, including audience identification and targeting to deliver business growth targets
  • Lead our new customer acquisition activity, managing our media planning, optimising budgets across our brands and activities to drive on-going improvements in marketing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Lead our end-to-end campaign and planning process delivering agile, integrated, high-performing and results driven activity
  • Manage our customer database to ensure the right product is presented to the right customers at the right time, using test and learn strategies to broaden and deepen the engagement of our customers
  • Inspire and prompt our audiences into action by delivering relevant content and sales incentives that bring our brand and products to life, building segmented and data-driven CRM strategies that optimise path to purchase
  • Performance manage all paid and earned marketing activities to drive down cost of acquisition - print advertising, digital advertising, TV advertising, database mailings, PPC, social media, email
  • Manage our external brand reputation and deliver PR activity that drives sales and increases brand awareness and consideration
  • Proactively seek out new partnerships and distribution channels to address new markets, respond to market challenges and augment the brand
  • Work alongside our Head of Digital Performance to ensure our campaigns are effectively executed and optimised on our website, creating content and re-targeting activities to optimise digital channel performance
  • Work alongside the Creative Director and our studio team to ensure our communications bring to life the essence of the brand, are based on insight and deliver on commercial objectives
  • Manage cross-business co-ordination of all marketing activity and drive business engagement in our brands and customer understanding
  • Work with agencies to combine their expertise with our own and provide learning opportunities that enable the team to grow
  • Nurture and lead a team, taking responsibility for your own and your team's personal development, bringing expertise and best-practice to the business

The Person

  • Commercial marketer - highly data-literate, driven by challenging targets and a fast-paced environment
  • Track record in delivering high-performing marketing campaigns in a multi-channel environment
  • On and offline creative design experience
  • Experience in managing external agencies and associated budget control
  • Experience of delivering audience-first, data-driven strategies that drive results
  • Experienced digital marketer - online advertising, PPC, SEO, affiliate programs, email programs, social media advertising
  • Up to date knowledge and experience of tracking digital performance and associated analytics tools
  • Technical knowledge and experience of email, CMS and CRM platforms
  • Ability to work quickly and flexibly, with the mental agility to make good decisions and embed learning
  • Organized and structured, with the ability to deliver multiple projects & priorities and get things done
  • Willing to embrace all aspects of working in a smaller business, from strategy to detail and managing the day-to-day
  • A natural collaborator who enjoys working in a team, who brings out the best in others and breaks down barriers
  • Cares about the team, leading and inspiring those around them
