Are you a dynamic, results-oriented professional with a proven track record of success in the education sector? Are you passionate about driving growth and building lasting relationships with educational institutions? We're seeking a Business Development Executive to join the team and play a pivotal role in expanding their reach in independent secondary schools and multi-academy trusts.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and engage with key decision-makers in the education sector.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire new customers.
  • Tailor the value proposition of our services to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients.
  • Nurture existing accounts to drive growth in sales, order sizes, share of basket, and profitability.
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with clients, becoming their go-to advisor.
  • Drive double-digit year-on-year sales and profit growth for existing accounts.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for upselling and cross-selling solutions from our diverse range.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute targeted marketing plans for the education sector.
  • Partner with our food development team/chefs to present customised food solutions.
  • Acquire independent secondary schools and new multi-academy trust clients within the first year.
  • Exceed revenue targets from new accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain target profit margins across accounts.
  • Take ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&L) for assigned accounts, managing budgets, pricing, and profitability.
  • Analyse financial data to make informed decisions that drive revenue growth and cost control.

The Person:

  • A proven track record of successful direct sales to educational institutions.
  • Exceptional influencing skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships.
  • A competitive and results-driven mindset with a strong desire to win new business.
  • Financial literacy and comfort in managing a P&L.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
