PHP Developer

Tired of bug fixing legacy code? Looking to work in an innovative, fast paced environment where the emphasis is on getting things done rather than keeping things going?

The Role

I'm working with a client based in Manchester that is about to embark on a large digital transformation project which will include a new software development squad (front and back end developers. As a back end PHP developer you’ll understand data structures and be able to manipulate large data sets.

The Person

You'll be passionate PHP developer who'll thrive working in an autonomous grown up environment. You'll enjoy working with a wide range of technologies and keep up to date with latest industry developments and trends. Some of the new projects are due to be built in Node, so if you'd like more exposure to nodeJS this would be a great way to do so.

Skills

You will bring a high level of competency in back end technologies and how to manipulate large data sets. The legacy system is built in PHP. If you’re a PHP developer interested in transferring over to NodeJS this could be an ideal role for you as elements of the new system will be built in NodeJS and will give you a steady mixture of work in both.

Summary

  •  PHP  (Ideally laravel) - Minimum of 2 years

  • Experience with cloud providers – AWS or GCP

  • Experience working with RDBMS such as MySQL/Postgres

  • Experience using modern FE Technologies, inclusive of JavaScript, HTML and CSS

  • Experience working with git
