As a key member of their UK Sales and Marketing team, you will play a critical role in shaping their product portfolio and implementing category roadmaps to propel growth and revenue generation across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise consumer insights, competitor data and market intelligence to identify new business opportunities for their commercial brands and retailer private label products, ensuring they meet consumer needs and stand out in the market.
  • Develop and own strategic plans for retail private label product and commercial brand development, defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with company goals.
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle from planning and positioning to launch and performance evaluation, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver successful products to market.
  • Present persuasive propositions and business cases to internal stakeholders and key customers, incorporating market data, technical requirements, and ROI analysis.
  • Manage budgets and resources for all product development activities, ensuring efficient allocation and effective execution.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to develop product objectives, positioning, and messaging to support overall sales and marketing strategies.
  • Analyse the performance of new products and commercial brands post-launch, gathering customer and consumer feedback to inform future iterations.
  • Continuously review and update the product portfolio to meet market/category needs, enhance profitability and drive future sales.
  • Identify and address the needs of key off-trade and on-trade accounts, maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Share data and insights with internal and external stakeholders to support organisational success.

You:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management within an FMCG environment, including product development, launch and change processes.
  • Experience in the Drinks industry, with detailed knowledge of the UK market, suppliers and products.
  • Familiarity with own label go-to-market approaches and understanding of the role of lower-priced brands in the retail landscape.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in interpreting large datasets from key databases, and creating actionable insights.
  • Commercial acumen and excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and pitch ideas effectively.
  • Confidence to work in a fast-paced, evolving marketplace with demanding customers, while maintaining a collaborative and results-driven approach.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel, along with the ability to work independently and in a small dynamic team.
