Better Placed are pleased to be working exclusively with a top UK based producer of spirits and they are looking for 2 Senior National Account Managers to join their On Trade Wholesale team!
You will be reporting into the Sales Director and you will directly manage a major UK On Trade Wholesaler and smaller wholesalers to drive volume and profit growth. You will target and develop a portfolio of new accounts to drive incremental volume and profit growth. As the Senior National Account Manager, you will play and active part in the on-trade team, providing input to the development of trading strategy and tactics. You will effectively communicate with internal departments and external contacts in order to maximise business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achievement of specific volume and profit budgets
- Development, execution and evaluation of detailed account plans to include volume, pricing, promotion, investment, distribution and visibility objectives
- Closely work with all three National Field Sales teams to maximise sales across the retail and route to market customer base
- To maintain accurate volume forecast and communication with supply chain and production colleagues
- Development of opportunities for new products and packages across core branded portfolio
- To carry out account analysis at total, category and brand level and develop business building proposals
The Person:
- Degree educated or equivalent with a proven track record of success in the Route to Market/Wholesale sector
- Substantial account management experience, preferably with large national organisations
- Highly motivated, results driven and flexible with well developed communication skills and established key account contacts
- Strong capability for planning and analysis allied to the vision to consider wider business, category and market issues
- Experience of leadership in a commercial environment
