Better Placed are pleased to be working with a well-known confectionery business in the South East who are looking for a Senior National Account Manager to join their successful sales team. Do you have a strong background as a NAM or SNAM working for a large FMCG business? Home to some of the most well known household name brands, our client is a well established business and a great place for you to develop your national account career.
Main responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing a commercial Joint Business Plans (JBP's) with the customer
- Delivering profitable and sustainable sales growth
- Controlling budgets and forecasting
- Launching and driving NPD
- Executing all promotional plans for product portfolio
- Managing one direct report - Junior National Account Manager
- Liaising cross-functionally with NPD, Category and Marketing
- Building strong relationships with customer and key stakeholders
- Maintaining daily contact with customer and attending regular face-to-face meetings
- Keeping up with key category trends and identifying new business opportunities
What we need from you:
- Minimum 3 years in national accounts within a large FMCG business
- Discounter experience would be preferable but not essential
- Experience managing a large P&L
- Great communicator both written and verbal
- Strong numerical skills
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Background in stimulating account growth
