Are you a seasoned Buyer with experience identifying future opportunities for growth and driving commercial value in an ecommerce brand?
Our client is a fast-paced D2C brand who are experiencing unprecedented growth. They are a £multi-million turnover lifestyle brand who are growing quickly by expanding their product ranges and launching into new international territories.
Sitting in the buying team, the Senior Buyer will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders to identify business needs. They will enjoy working closely with founders and Directors to strategically influence future growth plans.
The role
- Identify opportunities for driving growth through sourcing and contact management
- Manage end to end category strategies for there here and now and long term, identifying ways to maximise profit
- Build balanced and commercially savvy ranges that meet customer needs
- Work closely with merchandising to drive sales and profit for your category
- Ensure team communications are clear, and the sourcing team and key stakeholders are aligned on overall business objectives
- Lead cost price negotiations to drive profitability
- Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain
- Collaborate with eCommerce, Brand and Digital teams to gain insight into the ecommerce market and utilise analysis to build a coherent range.
- Use leadership skills to support with the motivation and people management of the team
The person
- Proven buying experience in a fast paced ecommerce environment
- Proven front line supplier experience / Far East experience
- Able to travel internationally
- Solid commercial acumen
