PHP Developer

Remote (Once a month team meet up in Manchester)

£45,000-£50,000

I'm working with an iconic Manchester brand that is looking to expand its internal backend team. The team are dedicated to improving and enhancing the internal systems of this business using PHP microservices and React.

The work they do is used by millions every year across the UK and they have a huge variety of projects coming up in an agile, best practice environment with an emphasis on culture and high standards.

The ideal developer would bring ideas to the table on how to improve their systems and receive the support of the wider businesses to implement them. They over comprehensive training, support and career development.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Helping to deliver a range of projects that are both internal facing and customer facing
  • Maintaining and implementing the highest coding standards and agile practices
  • Mentoring juniors and helping to develop their careers
  • Finding the best technical solutions to complex problems
  • Getting stuck into the latest in PHP Microservices and React to improve their current system

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience delivering full lifecycle PHP projects
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony would be an advantage
  • MySQL; Linux; PHP Unit
  • Git

Nice to have:

  • Some Frontend knowledge; however, they can train in React
