Better Placed are pleased to be working with a growing Personal Care company who are looking for a National Account Manager to join their team!

As the National Account Manager, you will develop and deliver effective strategies across your customer portfolio in order to generate profitable and sustainable sales growth in the product categories. You will have a dedicated focus on a rage, price and promotion whilst being aware of the wider sales plan. Collaborating closely with marketing and category management colleagues to maximise effective delivery.


  • Achieve sales and profit targets
  • Meet you customers JBP desires whilst managing your own investment budgets within agreed targets
  • Contribute to the demand planning process to improve then maintain the accuracy of your customers forecasts on a rolling 12 month and annual budget basis
  • Build credibility and develop a strong trading relationship by understanding your customers goals and ambition at a corporate, category and product level
  • Analyse customer EPOS data to understand and act upon the brands product performance and consumer trends
  • Develop clear customer range and pricing strategies within the framework of the overall channel price and range strategy to achieve gross margin growth while maximising sales
  • Ensure continuity of strategy between consumer and customer working closely with the marketing team
  • Develop insight based promotional strategies to meet brands, consumer and customer needs
  • Deliver NPD listings and range distribution expansion in line with the brands strategy

The Person:

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Account management and sales leadership - ideally with experience in pharma or grocery channels
  • Professional background within FMCG
  • Excellent commercial acumen and P&L understanding
  • Self-starter, self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint), IRI and Customer EPOS
