Internal Communications Manager

Manchester (Hybrid working)

£38,000 - £43,000

Better Placed are working with a top 100 law firm who only work on a no-win no-fee basis, ensuring individuals have the same access to seek justice as the large corporations and the UK Government do. They take on all cases despite the challenges and difficulties they might face, from medical negligence cases, serious personal injuries, discrimination cases amongst others.

They are looking for an Internal Communications Manager to join their team in the Manchester office, in a newly created role within the business to manage the firm's internal communications and down the line to support the development of the firm's Employer Brand. They offer Hybrid working, 29 days annual leave + public holidays, subsidies sports / gym membership and cycle to work scheme.

The role:

  • Develop the internal communications strategy and deliver comms and campaigns which are engaging and impactful, working with the Head of Comms and Marketing Director.
  • Take a lead role in the day-to-day management of their internal channels and look for ways to innovate the way that they communicate with their audience.
  • Help 'join the dots' between different business areas and ensure that internal comms messaging is executed in a timely and coordinated manner.
  • Partner with Marketing and Recruitment colleagues to bring to life the culture, value proposition and opportunities across the different channels.

The person:

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent copywriting skills and experience of writing for a range of audiences and channels
  • Experience in communicating difficult messages and sensitive topics
  • An understanding of the role of brand in the attraction and retention of staff
