We're working with a well-known retail brand who is looking for a Head of Central Merchandising. You will be quite mobile for this role from a location perspective. Primarily based in London and the South East with visits to the retail outlets / stores and the warehouses.
You will have multiple responsibilities, to include:
Ensuring all stock / deliveries / containers / inbound orders are met and that the outlets have the correct stock and the warehouse is operating efficiently - liaising with the various stock managers, merchandisers, sourcing managers / supply chain teams etc.
Managing the budget and forecasting
Managing supplier relationships and performance
Responsible for outlet replenishments and stock control
Co-ordinating store / outlet openings
Analysing existing processes and systems and make suggestions for review / improvement / changes
To be suitable for the role, you will have at least 10 years experience within merchandising with relevant experience incentralmerchandising. You will be highly analytical, commercial and a strong leader. The role requires someone from a retail background (ideally with Ecommerce) and someone who is able and willing to travel to more than one location in a working week to visit relevant stakeholders (the hybrid working in office versus working from home can still fall in the 2/3 model but flexibility is required with a role of this nature).
