You'll inherit a marketing team of c.6, with all marketing activity managed in-house so there's a real visibility of what you're doing. The team consists of experts in digital, creative, comms and other areas so your role is managing the strategy in line with financial targets. You'll have a final say on output and quality and getting your hands dirty where you feel you can add something.
Most companies say they are fast-paced, but this is genuinely the case in this business. With big plans and ambitious objectives, you'll be very close to the commercial returns on marketing output, reporting to senior stakeholders on lead generation, sales, pipeline and any other appropriate metrics. This probably isn't for you if you're more of a brand-focused marketer.
With a growing portfolio of services and propositions, the goals are heavily geared towards retention and raising the value existing customers. The commercial infrastructure in place is something the business is proud of and there's excellent martech to track customer journeys, automation and analytics so you'll be given every opportunity to succeed.
All in all, this is a role with real potential in a business that has a product/services offering that is doing very well and going in the right direction.
