The Brand Manager plays a critical role in making things happen, in inspiring, persuading and gaining dedication for your projects across different functions and different working levels. You will need to have the confidence to present to Director and UK Exec level on a frequent basis. You will manage the overall revenue and profit delivery of the brand portfolio.

Your purpose will be to develop, drive and implement the strategic marketing plan for the brand portfolio, ensuring short and long term financial targets are achieved. The brand that you will be working on is one of their exciting rising star brands in the UK with an exciting 'gaming snacks' proposition. For this role, they are ideally looking for someone with a passion for youth brands and gaming culture.

The Role:

  • Lead the brand portfolio, monitoring performance, recommending actions and motivating teams and other functions to drive brand performance.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to define and deliver 3 year strategic plan for the brand.
  • Develop annual plan and deliver the brand strategy & plans to meet business sales and profit targets
  • Emphasis on using data and insights to drive projects and the development of the brand
  • Lead the development and delivery of innovation and renovation projects
  • Manage the development of strong integrated marketing plans, as appropriate across OOH, digital, social media, in-store.
  • Commercially manage your portfolio or area of brand responsibility in order to hit performance targets.
  • Identify market opportunities for brand growth based on a clear understanding of consumer insight and the competitive landscape.
  • Build a commercially strong brand plan to deliver brand growth and share gain.
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver ongoing brand building and sales driving programmes, including in-store activation and new product launches.

The Person:

  • To be able to demonstrate good project management experience.
  • To demonstrate the ability to lead and influence partners at all levels of the business.
  • Sound marketing experience - especially of below the line activities IE. POS, Sampling and exposure to Comms and media.
  • Brand Marketing, including full P&L management for a brand or portfolio of brands
  • Management of external agency partners and x-agency teams, especially design related and comms
  • Budget Management
  • Market research
  • Product Development & Innovation experience
  • Experience of IRI/Nielsen and Kantar data

Desirable:

  • Degree in Marketing or Business or relative experience
  • Experience in FMCG is preferred, but not crucial
  • A passion for youth brands and gaming culture - proven experience in gaming would be highly beneficial.
