The Role:

As our Account Manager, you'll be the linchpin in nurturing existing customer relationships, embodying a commitment to quality coffee and ethical sourcing. Covering the SE & Essex regions, you'll own a portfolio of accounts, surpass sales targets, and contribute to shaping our foodservice strategy.

  • Cultivate robust relationships with existing customers.
  • Surpass sales targets by mastering the numbers game, from reporting to budgeting and P&L modelling.
  • Collaborate with the Independents Manager to craft a strong pipeline of new business aligned with our foodservice strategy.
  • Utilize diverse approaches to engage with new business, including sampling activities, cold calling, inbound leads, and networking.
  • Grasp our unique selling propositions, offering feedback for continuous enhancement.
  • Secure new business at competitive prices through adept negotiation and collaboration with the Head of Wholesale for higher-level signoffs.
  • Work closely with the Training team to bolster key customer support and ensure seamless integration of new business while upholding our quality standards.
  • Network within the industry to expand opportunities for new business relationships.

You:

  • Previous experience in a Foodservice environment.
  • Proven success in sales, with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in account management and fostering long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, negotiation techniques, and business acumen.
  • Comfort with data analysis and a metrics-driven approach to drive sales performance.
  • Solution-oriented mindset and adaptability to new challenges.
  • Experience in building and delivering new business pipelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for managing challenging situations and relationships with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to ethical and responsible sales practices, aligning with our sustainability and social responsibility commitment.
  • Passion for our mission and dedication to advancing the UDT model.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
