Marketing Director, EMEA – Payments Fintech

My client is one of the true success stories in the new wave of technology-led financial services businesses. In the main, they provide money transfer and foreign exchange solutions with a digital edge – which they offer both B2C and B2B (80% B2B). Over the past 15 years, they’ve grown to circa 1,000 FTE and have offices all over the world. The company is now seeking to appoint a marketing director to own strategy and delivery for EMEA, reporting in to the general manager of the region.

The business has recently been through a very positive, complimentary acquisition, which has given them access to some unbelievable technology – and they’ve spent the last 6 months taking their proposition from great to world class. As a result, there’s now an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer to take that proposition to market. This role has direct line management responsibility for a talented team of 8 people, with further indirect reports in a global function.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a track record in leadership in a financial services / regulated institution. You’ll be a TTL marketer, but particularly strong in digital, with quantifiable justification of the value you’ve brought to the businesses you’ve worked in. It would certainly be helpful if you’ve worked for a startup, scaleup, or technology led business. Lastly, you’ll need the credibility and confidence to report in to a GM (who’s very pro-marketing, but not a marketer by trade).
