As a Trading Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Building a rolling tactical trading plan in line with the strategy for our subscription propositions and broader business objectives.
  • Building a strategic trading plan for subscriptions, focusing on campaigns, customer retention and cross team trading opportunities.
  • Work with the trading team to implement a clear strategy for merchandising the propositions
  • Producing marketing leading promotional plans, working with our established buying team, which ensure key KPIs are achieved.
  • Monitor competitor activity to help ensure we maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Analysing the impact of the trading plan on website traffic, conversion rate, average order value and gross margin.
  • Adapting the trading plan in line with opportunities and risks through campaign and promotion activations to deliver targets and budgets.
  • Monitoring the conversion rates of each proposition plan and working with our established marketing and digital teams to improve conversion where necessary.
  • Working with the relevant marketing teams to help drive new customer acquisition at the lowest possible cost.
  • Working with the wider business to identify new growth opportunities and ways in which to improve our brand reputation and presence.

We are looking for candidates with the following experience:

  • Experience as a Trading Manager an ecommerce business in different retail sectors.
  • Experience trade planning and adapting to deliver targets and budgets.
  • Experience using Google Analytics to produce insights and drive conversion rate.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and wider business.
  • Ability to analyse and improve on a continual basis, and not be afraid to challenge the norm.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and across multiple projects at one time.
  • Ability to take ownership and lead on a variety of different projects.
  • Open, honest and friendly attitude that positively influences the team dynamic.
