I am working with a unique client that is focussed on innovation in IoT. Due to their reputation built over 50 years, they are now looking to make several strategic hires within their software development team. The role will be working on the future of smart cities offering genuine connected tech in homes, cities and transportation.

The business prides itself on giving all developers a genuine input on projects from roadmap to conception and delivery, you'll be working with experts in IoT/ connected tech who will support and guide where necessary.

The role:

  • Work with all relevant parts of the tech team, the wider business and other stakeholders to help deliver class leading products and ensure business requirements are met
  • Working on their application which is based on the Laravel 8 framework, with VueJS 2 handling their front-end needs.
  • Delivering well-written, fast, robust code as they handle large datasets
  • Presenting this data in a usable manner requires some frontend work, again with a focus on high quality performant code.

Required Skills:

  • Proven Back End development on modern systems which process high volumes of data
  • PHP: Version 7+
  • Laravel: Version 5.6 / 8 preferred, or a good knowledge of a similar framework
  • Git: Gitflow

Beneficial Skills:

  • UI / UX development
  • Testing - PHPUnit
  • Modern working practices e.g. Agile, CI/CD
  • Cloud-native technologies and principles
