My client (a household name) is looking for two buyers / category managers - from retail or FMCG backgrounds. You will be responsible for a huge part of their business and will have massive exposure to all stakeholders. We need two commercial trading buyers to join their busy teams. The main HQ is outside London but you will have the flexibility to be able to work in a few different locations including Central London. It's a hybrid role so ideally 2 days visibility in the office and the rest remote.
Responsibilities will include:
- Championing your customers and being responsible for P+L
- Day to day management of trading performance
- Manage the category budget, profit plan and other financial metrics against sales, efficiency and operating margin targets
- Works with Customer Insights team and applies customer insights to make decisions regarding category direction
You will bring to the table:
- Extensive product development / commercial management / food buying experience including profit and loss responsibility in a Category Management structure
- Proven experience of leading the successful commercialisation of new product concepts from conception to implementation
