We are able to supply candidates for immediate start assignments within a few hours and can pull together strong shortlists for contract and permanent roles within a few days.

Our database includes candidates from across the UK & mainland Europe. It is made up of candidates actively seeking a new role, others waiting for the perfect opportunity and a number of candidates looking to relocate to various parts of the UK.

Advertised Selection

Where client requirements are more specialised or there is a campaign with multiple roles, it may be advisable to look at an advertised selection assignment.

Better Placed have significant experience of running such assignments for clients across the UK and Europe.

Advertised selection includes a defined online and offline advertising strategy, in depth interviewing for individual roles, delivery of strong shortlists and, where appropriate, designing and running assessment centres.

Advertised selection will often be recommended for the more challenging assignments, where we feel any shortlist of candidates will only be enhanced through a proactive advertising campaign aimed at attracting those candidates on to the market who weren’t actively looking. The combination of a “database search” along with the running of an advertisement in the relevant industry press will give us the maximum opportunity to present the best possible shortlist of the strongest candidates to our client.

Better Placed have strong relationships with all the necessary traditional industry press from Marketing Week through to the Grocer and People Management, as well as a broad range of specialist & generalist websites and the broadsheets for the more senior appointments. These relationships, built over a number of years, have enabled us to negotiate significant discounts that we can then pass on to our clients.

Executive Search

Our executive search team is made up of specialist marketing, sales and HR consultants.

Where there is a requirement to search the market for specialist skills and / or candidates from particular industry sectors then we are able to offer a full search service.

Our search consultants are supported by a strong research team that can pull together thorough & extensive search lists within tight timescales.

We work with a range of clients across a range of sectors, but are sufficiently specialised in our markets that we are not constrained by numerous "hands off" agreements. Where we are constrained by such agreements we will make that very clear at the initial briefing stage.

Where appropriate we are able to bring together all three of the above attraction methods. As each assignment will be different we are able to produce a bespoke, effective approach to completing the assignment successfully.

Our search capability usually starts at salaries over £75,000 and we have experience recruiting senior level roles up to c£200,000.

In addition to the main search service we are also often asked to compile market research, competitor analysis, market maps & talent benchmarking.
